Individual Advocacy for Children and Families
IEP meetings and dispute resolution Interaction with school officials 504 and ADA issues Educational presentations on IEPs, parent rights, education law 504 and ADA Family Support - referrals / applications Education and guidance re: Social Security, SSI, Medicaid, Waiver Programs, etc.
Individual Advocacy for Adults
Interaction with state and local systems Problem solving and dispute resolution Information on housing, jobs, and community connections
Some chapters provide guardianship services and act as Authorized Representatives for people who need such assistance.
Go to your local chapter to find the chapter that serves you. If you live in an area of Colorado not served by a local chapter, contact The Arc of Colorado.
